Honda BF200D LRU are large displacement engines, featuring high torque value at all operating speeds, give you high acceleration and exceptional top speeds.
The Honda BF200D LRU outboard features dual-stage air induction with a shuttle valve built into the Variable Air Intake (VAI) manifold. When fully open, this valve changes the resonance and airflow generating more torque at low rpm.
When the throttle valve is fully open and revs increase, the cooling valve closes and creates a direct airflow to the engine. This provides more power above 3500 rpm. Combined with the BLAST system, a disruptive effect is achieved.
The special ECOmo poor-blend combustion control system delivers significant fuel economy right through RPM and performance. Once up to speed, the outboard consumes much less fuel. Once at cruising speed, ECOmo automatically and intelligently adjusts the correct air/fuel ratio for that speed.
Normally it comes into operation in the green zone (shown on the dial) or when the green Eco light comes on (in case you have multifunctional indicators). Therefore, once you are in the green zone, you can save up to 20% of your fuel. This saving, for a long trip, means a lot of extra sea.
