HELVI COMPACT EVO280 is an inverter welding machine designed for the TIG AC welding process of aluminium and its alloys and for TIG DC welding of steel. The electric arc is triggered by HF or LIFT ARC. HELVI COMPACT EVO280 is also available in MMA mode for rutile and basic electrode welding. Thanks to inverter technology and microprocessors, the welding process is controlled at all times ensuring excellent welding dynamics and optimal arc initiation. The new HELVI COMPACT EVO280 is equipped with a practical and intuitive control panel. Thanks to the touchscreen technology it is possible to set the welding parameters quickly and easily. It is however possible to adjust the machine using the two knobs on the panel.
The HELVI COMPACT EVO280 welding machine is available in 3 operating modes: Basic, Intermediate and Advanced. HELVI COMPACT EVO280 has the possibility to store up to 99 programs. The functions available in TIG mode of the HELVI COMPACT EVO280 welder are: ascent ramp (from 0 to 10 seconds), descent ramp (from 0 to 10 seconds), pre-gas (from 0 to 25 seconds) and post-gas (from 0 to 25 seconds).
As far as the MMA mode is concerned, the adjustable parameters are Hot Start and Arc Force. In the HELVI COMPACT EVO280 welding machine there is also the VRD function necessary for use in high risk environments. Possibility of remote adjustment by means of manual controls, foot pedal or Tig up-down torch.
HELVI COMPACT EVO280 is a three-phase welding machine with 400 V power supply and 50/60 Hz frequency. The HELVI COMPACT EVO280 welder has a power rating of 60% of 9200 VA for a maximum current of 250 A.
The HELVI COMPACT EVO280 welding machine is designed for MMA and TIG welding with electrodes with diameters ranging from 1 mm to 3.2 mm (TIG) and from 1.6 mm to 5 mm (MMA).
